Mark DeMarco is a distinguished professional in the fire safety industry, with over 25 years of extensive experience. He holds a master’s degree in management with a focus on Emergency Management, and an undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Administration. His educational background has provided him with a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of emergency management, all facets of fire safety, fire prevention, and business operations.
Mark is currently credentialed as a Life Safety Inspector 2, Plans Examiner, Fire and Life Safety Educator, and Certified Facility Manager (CFM). These certifications underscore his expertise and commitment to maintaining high standards in fire safety and facility management.
Throughout his career, Mark has made significant contributions to the fire industry. He has worked as an Adjunct Professor, teaching fire safety classes to local Fire Academy students and civilians. His role as an educator has allowed him to share his knowledge and experience, helping to shape the next generation of fire safety professionals.

Mark's professional journey includes over 20 years as the Life Safety Administrator for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority at Orlando International Airport. In this role, he was responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of one of the busiest airports in the United States. He also served as the National Fire and Life Safety Manager for an Independent Living Facility Company, where he managed fire safety protocols across multiple locations.
Currently, Mark works as a Senior Manager for a large theme park in Central Florida, overseeing the Testing, Inspection, and Maintenance for over 600 systems and 1200 properties across the entire property. His role a involves ensuring that all fire safety systems are functioning correctly and that the properties meet stringent safety standards. He also takes an active role partnering with all stakeholders in the full cycle of construction projects that directly or indirectly effect fire safety systems.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mark works part-time as a consultant, serving as an owner's advocate for projects that involve the installation, replacement, or modification of fire safety systems. His consultancy work ensures that fire safety standards are met and that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
Mark is widely recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the interpretation and application of fire codes and standards. His expertise is sought after by various organizations, and he is known for his ability to provide clear and accurate guidance on complex fire safety issues.
