Mark DeMarco — 25+ years in fire safety.

LifeSafetyMD is led by Mark DeMarco — a Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Fire and Life Safety Educator, Fire Safety Inspector, and emergency management professional with a Master’s Degree in Management (Emergency Management).

Mark brings more than two decades of hands-on expertise across large, complex environments including Orlando International Airport, Walt Disney World, independent living communities, and multi‑building campuses. His background gives him a uniquely well‑rounded perspective on how fire and life safety systems operate in real‑world conditions — and how organizations can manage them more effectively.

As an educator and consultant, Mark has helped fire departments deepen their understanding of fire alarm systems, building codes, commissioning requirements, and annual facility evaluation processes. His work strengthens the partnership between first responders and the facilities they serve, empowering departments to respond more effectively, advise property owners with confidence, and support safer communities.

Mark has also guided facility managers, property owners, and organizational leaders in improving code compliance, system maintenance practices, and operational workflows — all with the goal of reducing business disruptions, improving safety outcomes, and maximizing cost efficiency.

Today, Mark’s mission is clear: through his classes, workshops, and professional sessions, he is committed to helping municipalities, facilities, and fire departments mitigate nuisance fire alarms — a growing challenge that strains resources, frustrates communities, and impacts public safety.
